FBI Searching Televangelist David E. Taylor’s iCloud Account for Minors

The United States found thousands of sexually explicit pictures and videos in televangelist David E. Taylor’s iCloud account and is searching for minors, according to a response brief filed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah Resnick Cohen on March 16, 2026.

Previously the government obtained a protective order to prevent the disclosure of the names of victims and witnesses such as women appearing in some of the videos. However, Taylor’s legal team has filed to have the protective order modified to allow them to share the names of witnesses.

The brief states the government’s opposition to allowing “anyone on the defense team to disclose the names of victims and witnesses.”

Cohen alleges that members of Taylor’s Kingdom of God Global Church (KOGGC) “have learned the identities of the victims and exchanged messages about victims.”

The brief included the following text message exchange with church prophetess Kathleen Klein as evidence:

KOGGC Member: “would suck if she [a particular victim] randomly died, huh?”

Kathleen Klein: “I had that thought earlier today”

KOGGC Member: Yeah it’d be hilarious”

The FBI Has More Freedom to Investigate than the IRS

Taylor and his assistant Michelle Brannon were arrested in August 2025, charged with forced labor and money laundering.

Taylor and Brannon operated call centers in Florida, Michigan, Missouri and Texas which generated millions of dollars in revenue for their ministry via free labor.

The federal investigation of Taylor and his associates began three years earlier, according to a statement from Taylor’s defense attorney during a detainment hearing.

Trinity Foundation submitted investigative reports to the IRS in 2018 and 2019 recommending investigations of Taylor and his church and recommending criminal charges be filed, but there is no empirical evidence the IRS began investigating due to our briefs. The 1974 Privacy Act prevents the IRS from providing status reports to informants and journalists regarding if an audit or investigation has been opened.

The Church Audit Procedures Act requires two high ranking Treasury Department officials to approve a church audit.

When a complaint (Form 13909) or whistleblower report (Form 211) is filed with the IRS, they are reviewed. IRS agents determine if a tax law was likely violated and if the violation is beyond a statute of limitations. The more compelling cases are examined by attorneys regarding the likelihood of winning in court. After the attorneys sign off, the case finally reaches the Treasury Department leadership for approval.

The FBI has greater latitude for investigating certain kinds of religious fraud than the IRS.

Filling the Pulpit

With Taylor in prison awaiting trial, various church members have led worship in Taylor’s absence.

Prophetess Kathleen Klein led Sunday church services until her recent indictment. On March 15, 2026, Kearisten Jones, Vice President of KOGGC, preached on Taylor’s YouTube channel.

The KOGGC cult teaches that Taylor is God’s best friend. While preaching, Jones mentioned this relationship in her prayer. “Oh, we thank you for your best friend this morning. Lord, we thank you for Apostle David E. Taylor this morning.”

Because the cult teaches that Taylor has this unique relationship with God, what Taylor teaches goes unchallenged by his followers.

Lying to Free Taylor

KOGGC created a petition requesting criminal charges be dismissed which contains extraordinary lies. One such falsehood is, “The Kingdom of God Global Church, a Christian ministry that has reached over 4.5 billion households worldwide …”

However, there are not that many households on this planet. The Helgi Library discloses there were almost 2.2 billion households in 2025.

The same petition also says, “Every year Crusades Against Cancer are held and millions of people have experienced and received the healing miracle ministry of Jesus Christ.” The audience for these online events is significantly smaller than is being reported.

The petition also reports, “For many years, Pastor Taylor has earnestly prayed for you and your family Mr. President. He supported your presidency, donated $10,000 towards your campaign, and has honored you from the pulpit.”

However, there is no record of any donations to President Trump from minister Taylor in the OpenSecrets database of political donations.

Taylors followers are planning a protest in Washington, DC on April 11, 2026, claiming the federal investigation is racist.
