Last week, Judge Jeffrey M. Rich granted the second divorce of Suzanne Hinn from televangelist Benny Hinn. As a result, the Hillsborough County website reports that the divorce case is closed.

On November 24, the county website was updated to report “FINAL JUDGMENT NON CONTESTED DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE.”

Florida attorney A. James Mullaney’s website explains how the divorce process works: During the final hearing of an uncontested divorce case, the divorce petitioner (in this case it would be Suzanne) tells the judge the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
Because Florida is a no-fault divorce state, the divorce petitioner does not need to prove the other party is at fault.
Suzanne and Benny were originally married in 1979. Benny was a traveling evangelist and Suzanne’s father Roy Harthern pastored Calvary Assembly of God, a large megachurch in Winter Park, a suburb of Orlando, when the couple met.
Benny tells the story of how they met in his autobiography He Touched Me.
Suzanne first filed for divorce in 2010. The couple remarried in 2013 at Trinity Broadcasting Network’s Holy Land Experience.
In addition to being a no-fault state, Florida is also an equitable distribution state. FindLaw explains: “Florida uses equitable distribution rules to divide marital assets and liabilities during divorce or legal separation. Florida courts consider everything acquired during a marriage to be marital property when dividing property. During a divorce case, courts divide the marital estate fairly, but not always 50/50.”
During the Hinns’ second marriage, the couple acquired at least $4.7 million of real estate.

The net worth of the Hinns’ property holdings dropped significantly from last year. Benny’s Dana Point, California, beach house does not appear to be part of the second divorce settlement because it was acquired during the first marriage.

According to the Redfin real estate website, the California beach house is currently worth $8,639,715. In July 2024, it was reportedly worth $10,882,158.
Until last year, Benny’s ministry had been in decline, having lost its timeslot on Trinity Broadcasting Network and Daystar. Repeated exposes in the 90s and early 2000s exposed Benny’s false healings.
At its peak, Benny Hinn Ministries had almost 400 employees. In 2020, World Healing Center Church obtained a Paycheck Protection Program forgivable loan to retain 25 employees.
In February 2024, Benny held a large crusade in Nairobi, Kenya. This year Benny held crusades in Kampala, Uganda and Harare, Zimbabwe.
After his Zimbabwe crusade, Benny claimed in an email to followers, “For three unforgettable days, the heavens opened over fields that stretched across hundreds of acres—waves of humanity as far as the eye could see. Millions gathered with one cry upon their lips: “Jesus, Son of the Living God, have mercy on us!”
